Zachary Palmer Medical Geographer

I am a graduate student currently studying Geography at the University of Iowa. More specifically, my current studies focus on the intersections of spatial/geographic concepts and infectious diseases, both in humans and animals. The research I am engaged in at the moment concerns the spread of Influenza A throughout feral swine populations in the US, with an emphasis placed on the locations and clusters of different strains. I am also very curious as to how social and behavioral factors can be included in current infectious disease models.
